2021 provided Etta + Billie a rare opportunity to grow in terms of new product releases, being able to return to in person shows, and having our team expand! I was also able to embark on new endeavors in my personal life for cooking and extracurriculars - woohoo! This week's blog is all about sharing some of our small victories from the year as we enter a whole new year of unknowns and new challenges.

2021 New Soap & Product Favorites

At the beginning of the year I wanted to dedicate a significant amount of energy to designing new soaps and launching new product options for my customers. This year, we successfully created and re-released original soap scents like: Almond Rosemary Cocoa, Gold Coast, Horchata, Negroni, Gin & Tonic, Garden Party, and Sweater Weather. I am also so proud of the launch of liquid soap and lotion refills - as well as kicking off our subscription program! Overall, diversifying my product line and staying innovative this year has been successful and rewarding.

Returning to Holiday Shows

Thanks to vaccinations, masks, and outdoor events, Etta + Billie was able to safely return to in-person gatherings for holiday shows! It felt so great to set up my booth, display all my soaps, and reconnect with old friends and customers. I felt so fortunate to see makers friends from years past - as well as meet all the new makers that are on the artisan circuit! I am still over the moon about returning to LA Renegade Craft Fair and Heath Ceramics Make Good Market, and appear at the Good Tidings Market for the first time this year,. Here's to making 2022 an even safer environment for future craft shows.

Returning to Lengthy Cooking

After having a baby, leveling up my business, a global pandemic, and moving my studio - it became hard to carve out time for big nights of cooking. But luckily in 2021, I was able to roll up my sleeves and get back in the kitchen. This year, we were able to get our very own sourdough starer going (successfully, too!) and have been enjoying it ever since. 2021 can be characterized by amazing pizzas, new regional dishes, and new recipe challenges that I have welcomed with open arms.

Last, but not least at all, our family bought a vintage trailer! We are heading into the new year with fresh eyes, goals, and excitement for new travels and challenges! Here's to 2022, a year full of fun, good food, and all the good soap.
