With the launch of our new Tahini Tonic Soap, I felt it was a perfect time to highlight all the amazing benefits of tahini for your skin - topically and internally. This nutrient rich food is used commonly in sauces, dips, and baked goods, and of course HUMMUS! The smooth texture of tahini was a perfect addition to my already nourishing soap recipe, with shea butter, cocoa butter, and coconut oil. The Tahini Tonic Soap is also amazingly refreshing and spring forward.
Rich in Nutrients
Tahini is a rich paste made from sesame seeds. Naturally, sesame seeds are rich in copper, zinc, carbon, calcium, magnesium, B1, selenium, fiber and protein - all of which are powerful nutrition for the body and skin. Zinc in tahini is a building block of collagen which aids the repair of tissue damage. Which makes our skin strong, smooth and responsive. The copper content of Tahini can help to reduce body inflammation. This is especially the physiological and nervous systems and joints that keep the skin and body healthy and active.
Fatty Acids and Vitamins
Tahini contains the essential fatty acids, which are the main healthy fats that can reduce inflammation, stimulate brain health and improve the absorption of nutrients in fat-soluble vitamins, such as Vitamin E. It helps to stop revolutionary harm on its way. Tahini also has antibacterial properties - which can help boost your skin's natural glow.
Benefits of the Tahini Tonic Soap
Along with all of the amazing naturally occurring benefits of tahini in my newest limited edition soap, the Tahini Tonic Soap has coriander and citrus essential oils. Coriander essential oil has amazing aromatherapy benefits for calming and anti-inflammation. The combinations of lemon peel and lime essential oils also awakens you, help improve your mood, and even fight exhaustion. This soap is a perfect way to start your spring and summer mornings!
