From Los Angeles, San Diego, the Bay Area, and everywhere in between, margaritas are not hard to come by. In honor of the drink’s national holiday, we have compiled up a list of some of the best margs you can find throughout the Golden State.

Matador– San Francisco

A small place that knows how to pack on the flavor. The Matador offers a great variety of takes on the cocktail from prickly pear to passion fruit. Try their hibiscus infused “Tropicana” for a refreshing and tropical twist on the classic ‘rita.

La Puerta– San Diego

Their “Bark at the Moon” has landed itself in Travel+Leisure’s “America’s Best Margaritas” and is an absolute fan-favorite. La Puerta keeps it simple with agave and lime, but also spices things up with some muddled serrano peppers. Locals know to head in for happy hour when all drinks are 50% off!

Gracias Madre– Los Angeles

Known for their tasty, plant-based Mexican food and their even more phenomenal margaritas. They are the perfect blend of citrusy-lime and never too sweet. Go with the classic “Purista” and add some spice if you’re up for a kick.

If making your own dupe of this famous concoction interests you, hop over to Popsugar’s “The Skinniest Margarita in Los Angeles” for a replica recipe!

Keeping a routine and rhythm is the one thing that can gives me  some sense of “normalcy” and control in my day.
