At Etta+Billie, we pride ourselves in our sustainable practices and strive each day to reduce our carbon footprint. Here are just a few ways we implement sustainability in our production process.
Our lotions, oils, and liquid soaps are all bottled in recyclable glass packaging. Not only are the bottles recyclable, but they serve well when repurposed as dish soap dispensers or flower vases. Also, all the labels on our glass products easily slide off with a little warm water and soap mixture.
The newest edition to our product family is our natural deodorant. When formulating the product, it was imperative that its packaging was eco-friendly and compostable. After much trial and testing, we landed on a fun paper tube (similar to a push-pop) to house our deos that easily breaks down once disposed.
Production can oftentimes create an excessive amount of waste. To ensure there is a limit on waste in the studio, we compost all food scraps and paper waste products. In addition, all paper used for printing is re-used and eventually recycled.
The beauty of mother nature is that there is a natural alternative for virtually every modern product on the shelves today. Cleaning supplies contribute a great amount of chemicals and fragrances into the environment. Instead of opting in for conventional cleaners with toxins, we create our own made of a simple mixture of vinegar, citrus, and dish soap.
