Reflecting On A Year In Quarantine

365 days has gone by, countless batches of soap and skin care essentials, many moments of overwhelming stress and happiness, one major studio move - and here we are! It’s hard to believe that we’ve done an entire year battling COVID-19, but I see a bright future ahead of all of us.

We never expected to see such an vast increase in sales once shelter in place came down across the country. But looking back, it makes total sense! Soap orders came pouring in, along with an increase in all of our wellness products - we realized people needed clean & calming items. We were selling out of product really quickly, and the E+B staff was very slimmed down at the time. It was intense, but I truly could not have weathered the first wave of COVID-19 without support from my amazing customer base.

Studio Move

After having started and established my business in San Francisco for over 10 years, I finally made the tough decision to move from our SF studio to Ventura county! What better way to celebrate a goodbye than a “cleaning house” sale am I right? As hard as it was to say farewell to one of my favorite places in the world - I was excited to embark on a new adventure with my family & my business! I began setting roots, making new soap releases (Like the Gold Coast!) to celebrate my new home, and making our way through the unfamiliar times of 2020! I now call Ventura my home, where I can be closer to my family and explore new sights.

I cannot express how incredibly grateful I am for coming out of 2020 and stepping into 2021 with an even firmer grasp of who I am, why I started this company, and where I plan to take Etta + Billie. I started this because of my love for making, my infatuation with soap & apothecary, and to celebrate the things that I love most! Being able to create for and connect with my customers on a daily basis is something I do not take for granted - so THANK YOU for being YOU.
